10 Things Fishermen Won’t Admit (But We All Know Are True)

Fishing stories are 10% fact, 90% legend, and 100% believable — at least to the guy telling them. Whether you chase bass, crappie, or anything with fins, here are ten things every fisherman knows deep down but will never actually say out loud.

1. 1) “One more cast” means at least an hour

   We’ve all said it. We’ve all lied. You know it’s never just one more.

   Definitely a record-breaker. You just didn’t want to stress the line, right?

3. 3) You’ve forgotten sunscreen more times than you’ll admit

   That “bass face” tan line is basically a badge of honor now.

4. 4) You secretly love organizing tackle boxes

   It’s like therapy. Hooks, lures, line, repeat. Hours disappear and somehow you end up buying three more crankbaits you didn’t need.

5. 5) You have a “lucky” lure

   Even though it hasn’t caught a thing in years, it still rides every trip. Can’t risk the curse.

   “Come on, baby, just one bite.” We’ve all done it. Don’t deny it.
